Pierce Butler

Pierce butler was born July 11,1744 in Ireland.
His state was South Carolina.
At the convention he was 43 years old.
His schooling was unknown.
Some of his occupations were planter, slave holder, lending and investments, public security and solider.
His prior political experience was for the lower house of South Carolina state legisture (1778-1782, 1784-1789, confederation congress 1787-1788)
For the convention he arrived May 25 and was present through the signing.
He married Mary Middleton.
Pierce Butler retired from politics in 1805 and spent much of his time in philadelphia where he established a summer home.
